Etiquette coaching has quietly become an influencer business, and its audience is far younger than the old finishing trade ever served. Myka Meier has 684,000 Instagram followers, 44 percent of her TikTok audience, by the company's own count, aged 25 to 34; William Hanson's reach runs to about 7 million across Instagram and TikTok. But neither sells advertising against the videos.

  • The money is corporate training, not views: courses, the Plaza Finishing Program, HR contracts, diplomatic and executive tuition.
  • The young audience is real, fed by a rudeness renaissance (47 percent of Americans told Pew people are ruder since the pandemic).
  • The follower count is rented; the training contract, which predates the phone, is the part that lasts.

Building the business, not the following, is the durable bet.
