Zola's 2026 report found 54 percent of couples using AI to help plan, and 63 percent flatly against using it to write their vows. The University of Kent's six studies explain the line: outsourcing a set of vows is judged not on the output but on the missing labor of feeling, and the penalty held even when the writing was good and the AI use openly admitted. Transparency is a virtue, not an alibi. Keep the vows in your own hand, misspelled and over-long and yours.
